The Sea Change – Tai Timu Tai Pari process runs over two years. It started in August 2013 and the final plan is due to be delivered towards the end of 2016.
A core milestone was achieved in December 2013 with the formation of the Stakeholder Working Group – known as the SWG. The 14 members of this group come from different interest groups in the Gulf. The SWG is taking the lead role in developing the Sea Change – Tai Timu Tai Pari Hauraki Gulf Marine Spatial Plan, under the guidance of the Project Steering Group. Once the plan is complete, the Project Steering Group will take the lead in recommending how the plan will be used.
